The best form of exercise for old people is walking. This is because you do not need any specialized equipment to walk and also it is not a very complex form of exercise. Other effective aerobic exercises include; swimming, jogging, step classes and treadmills.
Eating the right food, keeping the right diet
The kind of diet you eat will also determine whether you can be able to slow down your aging process. You should ensure that you take a balanced diet in each meal. This is because when you get old your body becomes more vulnerable to getting diseases and therefore a balanced diet will help boost the immune system.
Do not underestimate the effectiveness of a balanced diet when it comes to enhancing anti-ageing. Old people who have been suffering from memory lose problems have been able to achieve a significant improvement in there memory when they take food rich in essential omega 3. The best source of this nutrient is red meat and certain fish such as salmon.
Proteins are also essential because they are the building blocks for your muscles. Since old age is accompanied by the loss of the mass of muscles a person needs to ensure that they include plenty of proteins in their diet to diminish this effect.
